This ceramic candle was made with the ancient pinching technique. This traditional method, dating back centuries, infuses each candle with the energy of human touch and intention. The glaze is lavender with indigo blue speckles. A third firing of gold luster adds a final special and elegant touch.
Ritual is a huge part of my life, and one of my favorite rituals is making a wish on my birthday. So I decided to create birthday wish candles. The beauty of the birthday wish candle lies not only in it’s form, but in the ritual in inspires. As you blow out the candle and relight it, you engage in a personal ceremony of renewal and intention setting. It becomes a sacred space where your wishes are given breath and life, creating a unique and personal manifestation practice. This vessel will act as a touchstone for what you wish to manifest in the coming year. You can reuse it as a cup, or make another candle. However you choose to reuse it, it will connect you to your birthday wish.
Because this candle was handmade, it may have irregularities. Each piece is completely unique. This candle holds about 5 ounces of wax.
Approximate size is 2 1/2" high x 3 1/4" in diameter. Candle was made with Coconut Apricot wax and is unscented.
