Welcome to my blog! I'm thrilled to have you join me on this creative journey where I share my experiences, insights, and passion for ceramics and art. Whether you're an aspiring artist, a seasoned creator, or someone who simply appreciates the beauty of handmade art, I hope you'll find inspiration and valuable insights here.
My background in art began in college with extensive studies in Art History. This academic foundation sparked a deep appreciation for the arts, which I carried into my professional life as an art consultant. During my consulting career, I had the opportunity to sell ceramic sculptural pieces to corporations, which is where my fascination with ceramics truly began. The journey into ceramics started in earnest in 2015 with my first hand-building class. Hand-building introduced me to the tactile joys of shaping clay with my hands. Following this, I took a class in wheel throwing, which added a new dimension to my skills. Over the years, I continued to explore both hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques, discovering the vast possibilities within the medium. There's always something new to learn, from different clay bodies and hand-building techniques to various forms on the wheel, firing techniques, and glazes.
In this blog, I aim to share a wide array of content, including sources of inspiration, personal stories, and behind-the-scenes looks into my creative process. I will delve into topics that fascinate me and influence my work, such as the history of ceramics, ancient civilizations, symbology, astrology, rituals, and magic. Each of my pieces is created with a purpose, and I look forward to sharing those purposes with you.
I am excited to engage with a community of like-minded individuals who share a love for ceramics and art. Your comments, suggestions, and feedback are invaluable to me. I have received countless great ideas from my customers and Instagram friends, and I truly value your input.
